Magnetic Astroklar Round Filter
With the F:X Pro Magnetic Astroklar Filter Mark II, we now also offer our popular Astroklar filter as a magnetic round filter. The filter is mounted depending on the diameter of the lens via the F:X Pro Magnetic Base Ring Mark II or one of the F:X Pro Magnetic Step-Up Rings Mark II.

When are Astroklar filters used?
The phenomenon of ever-increasing light pollution is increasingly affecting the quality of nighttime city and architectural shots. You can use the new F:X Pro Magnetic Astroklar Filter Mark II to reduce the unwanted effect of light pollution and add more contrast and clarity to your shots.
Thanks to a special coating, the F:X Pro Magnetic Astroklar Filter Mark II largely reduces unwanted yellow and orange components of light and ensures that even difficult structures and transitions are still displayed properly and do not "break out". The night and starry sky or sometimes only sparsely illuminated building panoramas gain significantly in contrast and detail. Even extremely distant and barely visible stars can appear clear and distinct on the astro photo. Due to the special anti-light pollution coating, the images become somewhat cooler, with blue and green tones predominating.
Tip: Perfect results with white balance
To counteract this if necessary, you should perform a manual white balance when working with the Astroklar filter. Our recommendation: To achieve authentic colors in the final result, a color temperature between + 700 K and + 1,500 Kelvin of the white balance performed without a filter should be set.

Optional expansion possibilities
The F:X Pro Magnetic Astroklar Filter Mark II can be easily combined with our other magnetic filters from the F:X Pro Magnetic Round Filter Mark II series. Due to its two magnetic sides, it can be easily attached to the base ring and another round filter can be clipped on. It is also quickly stowed away if not needed. For this purpose, the filter can simply be connected to another filter from the F:X Pro Magnetic Round Filter Mark II series via the magnets and closed with the optionally available F:X Pro Magnetic End Cap Mark II and F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II.
By the way: You can also simply leave the magnetic base ring or magnetic step-up ring mounted on your lens. The F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II can then be used as a lens cap. To transport the magnetic filters well protected, we recommend an additional F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II. This way, your magnetic filters remain well packed, while you can use them even faster: Remove the front cap from the lens, attach the magnetic filter and you're ready to go.

One filter, multiple lenses
With the F:X Pro Magnetic Step-Up Rings Mark II (sold separately), the magnetic filters with an 82 mm diameter can be easily mounted on a filter thread with a smaller diameter. So if you own several lenses with different diameters, we recommend purchasing magnetic filters with a diameter of 82 millimeters and corresponding step-up rings in the diameters of your lenses. This way you can quickly and easily use all lenses with the magnetic filters.

Note: For mounting the F:X Pro Magnetic Round Filters Mark II on the lens, the F:X Pro Magnetic Base Ring Mark II or a F:X Pro Magnetic Step-Up Ring Mark II is required.
